One Pot Cheeseburger Pasta

  1. Finely dice the . Add the onion, , and ground to a large deep skillet and saute over medium heat until the is fully browned and the onion is soft and translucent. Drain off any excess fat if needed.

  2. Add the and continue stirring and cooking for one minute more. It will begin to coat the bottom of the skillet, so be careful not to let it burn.

  3. Add the and , stirring to dissolve the off the bottom of the skillet.

  4. Add the uncooked and stir to combine. The liquid may not fully cover the pasta, and that is okay.

  5. Cover, turn the heat up to medium-high, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, stir to loosen any from the bottom, replace the lid, and reduce the heat to low. Simmer, stirring occasionally and always replacing the lid, for about 10 minutes until the pasta is tender and the has thickened. Turn off the heat.

  6. Stir in the shredded until melted into the , then stir in the . Top with sliced and serve hot.

  • For more protein, use a full pound of ground beef and 6 oz cheddar.
  • For more vegetables, cook 8 oz chopped cremini and a diced bell pepper with the beef, then stir in 1 cup chopped spinach at the end.
